This dramatic succulent is very common in the southwest and west. An agave rosette grows very slowly and sends up a tall stem that produces a beautiful abundant set of blooms. Sadly, after the bloom, the agave dies. And in case you are wondering ‘why the title’? Tequila is made from the blue agave plant!
