As many of you know, Oriental poppies are among my favorite flowers to paint –because of their fragility, luminosity and sentimental value (mom’s favorite). I painted this particular bloom many many years ago on paper and it was a very popular piece. In honor of its 20th anniversary, I decided to give it a makeover and paint it on canvas with a little more “punch”.
