I have a giant mesquite tree in my yard – a favorite roosting spot for my feathered friend, Cooper. He’s a magnificent Cooper’s Hawk and was the inspiration for this composition. We often watch the sunsets together – he up high in his branch and me on my patio. Ask me to show you a photo of him – he’s really good at posing for the camera!
