The Start of Something Big (triptych)
Watercolor on cradled board
8" x 8" (each)
I have had so much fun this year painting quail families. The way they scurry about, top feathers bobbing, is such a delight.
In The Start of Something Big, an adventuresome quail chick darts around a desert agave. The chick will need to learn quickly the ways that this plant can be both friend (hiding space) and foe (look at those spines!).
