This piece, along with several other new works shown here, was inspired by my morning walks through my neighborhood this past spring. As I ambled along the paths early in the morning, the various birds were busy scouting out their breakfast. When this cardinal landed on the Ocotillo cactus I thought to myself, he looks just like the blooms! And just like that, a painting was born…
