Commissions

How to commission a painting from Heidi Rosner

Now you can preserve your special memory for a lifetime

“I love the challenge of representing a special vacation, a childhood home image, or a favorite bloom. Bringing those meaningful memories to life for a client is truly a thrill.” ~Heidi Rosner

Before launching her fine art career, Heidi was a successful mechanical engineer, making her right at home when following client specifications.

How Heidi’s commission process works

Step 1: Discuss your concept

Heidi will meet with you by phone or at your home to discuss your desired image.

Step 2: Determine the project particulars

If you have a specific place in mind where the finished work will go, Heidi will size up the space to calculate the dimensions of the finished piece. At this time, Heidi will also work with you to determine the presentation you prefer: watercolor on paper, framed; watercolor on canvas or board, framed; watercolor on gallery wrapped canvas, frameless; or watercolor on cradled board.

Step 3: Provide a price quote

Heidi will provide you with a quote for your finished painting, not inclusive of framing.

Prices for framing are separate. Heidi passes along her wholesale framing pricing to her clients, so you are welcome to use her framing contacts or you may choose to have your new painting framed by your own framer.

Shipping is free for local delivery (Danville, California and Phoenix metro); other areas shipping will be billed directly to you.

Step 4: Provide a color study

For larger pieces that are not based on one of Heidi’s existing works, she will complete a small study of the finished product for your approval before beginning. This step is omitted for smaller paintings and those based on a work in Heidi’s portfolio.

Step 5: 50% deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at this time.

Step 6: Images before delivery

Prior to delivery, Heidi will send digital images of your painting for your final approval. This step is particularly critical for canvas and board pieces that are sealed and varnished before delivery.

Step 7: Final payment and delivery

Prior to delivery, the remaining 50% of the painting’s price is due to the artist. Once Heidi receives your final payment, she will deliver or ship your new painting.
