Echinopsis “flying saucer” is one of the most beautiful of it’s hybrids. The cactus has a short columnar body that can grow quite large. The plant itself is a nice addition to a desert landscape but nothing prepares you for the showy bloom that happens in the springtime. The large, pink, many petaled blooms have a hint of orange that make it glow. But you have to enjoy them quickly – most blooms only last a couple of days!
