These dramatic succulents are very common in the southwest and west. The Agave rosette grows very slowly and in its final season, will send up a tall stem that produces a beautiful abundant set of blooms. New plants form from the roots of the central rosette so that when the main agave finally blooms, and sadly dies, its legacy lives on in it’s offspring.
