Desert Gold

Watercolor on cradled board - 8” x 8”

This Hooded Oriole is a rare visitor to my bird feeder. One of the more exciting birds that stops by to feed - he is skittish most of the time, but every now and again he indulges in the wild bird mix when few of the other birds are around. Here I have him perched on an ocotillo cactus in bloom… a little artistic license.
