An exploration into my mosaic series. This graphic representation of a saguaro - the desert sentinel - is quite linear and makes an almost architectural statement. The contrasting randomness and fragmentation of the mosaic background and the gradient tones provide a subtle backdrop that emulates the monochrome nature of desert greenery.
